Varanasi also commonly known as Benaras and Kashi, is a city situated on the banks of the River Ganges in Uttar Pradesh. Benaras is regarded as a holy city by Hindus. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and the oldest in India. In many ways Benaras epitomizes the very best and worst aspects of India. For me it's a fascinating and colourful city is all respect.
